Intuitive Painting with Stan Kurth
This workshop is designed to teach intuitive painting with watercolor and gouache. There will be no preliminary planning or drawing. The process will dictate direction as students use mark making tools, watercolor and gouache to implement elements and principles of design. Comments and evaluation of student work in progress concerning relationships between elements and principles will be made during the workshop. It is entirely possible finished work may be representational, but the goal is work which is compositionally pleasing and aligned with the artist’s personal aesthetic. There will be a strong emphasis on the elements and principles of design. If time allows there will be a critique.
