Printmaker’s Group
A printmaker is an artist who creates original, multiple-edition artworks by transferring images from prepared surfaces (woodblocks, plates, stones) to materials like paper, using techniques such as etching, lithography, or screen printingThis open studio format (no instruction) gives our members an opportunity to work along side other printmakers and share their knowledge and techniques with each other, or as a space to work on your current projects.
AAG has a “baby” press available for small format plates (8×10 or smaller) and a larger press currently on loan for members to use once you have been trained on it. You will bring your own plates, papers, and inks to work with.
AAG is not set up to work with any medium requiring chemicals, such as lithography or acid etching, and inks are limited to water washable oils, or water based inks. Also, these presses are not for woodblocks.
The Printmaker’s Group will occasionally offer demonstrations in various techniques for its members.
Meetings will be on the 4th Thursday of the month
starting June 25th, 2026 from 9am to noon.
This group is free to members and is open to all skill levels.
