Arizona Artists Guild Garden

The grounds of AAG are maintained by landscaper, Sergio Gette and members of AAG.  Many of the plants have been generously donated and planted by members.

We are also looking for any cactus, agaves and aloes that anyone wants to donate. Please email John Kaskela if you have plants to donate.  Include “AAG Cactus” in the header.

“Pre-planting. Dirt, a few bushes and trees surround the AAG building. It’s time to bring the grounds to life!”

March of ’23.   “After talking with the leaders of the AAG, we are allowed to plant cactus and plants around the building. This is just the beginning!”

Jan, ’24.  After the Summer of death, most of the plants have survived. So time to plant more!

Oct 1st. ’24.  Pictures from the Cactus planting party on Sunday December 1, 2024. It was nice to have so many helpers and so many cacti to plant. Lots of smiles and an amazing amount of planting got done. Over 60 plants were planted. Amalie’s husband, Bowen, was a digging machine! We are on our way to having the second largest botanical garden in Phoenix! The area will look amazing in 2-3 years. I decided, at the last minute, to make a small memento for the volunteers.

March of ’25. The desert plants are doing great! Lots of new growth and blooms..
