Gel Plate printing allows the mono printing process to be accessible and easy for everyone.  Create wonderful layered papers to use in other projects or as a stand alone piece of art. Each instructor will bring their unique knowledge and experience of the gel plate printing process so you will learn something new in each one.

Gel Printing Basics with Cynthia Dunn-Selph

This workshop will introduce you to the process of mono printing on a gel plate, including getting familiar with the materials and tools, creating textures, using stencils, and layering.  All tools and materials provided.

Printing for Naturalistic Collage with Melanie Harman

In this workshop you will work with creating papers to use specifically for collage, then using papers from both workshops you will create a small collage to explore techniques of applying papers to a substrate. Students will provide the substrate for the collage.  You have a choice of working on 8×10 140#, or heavier, watercolor paper, an 8×10 or smaller wood cradled board, or an 8×10 or smaller canvas. All other tools and materials provided.

Using Papers to Create a Book with Tess Mosko Scherer

This workshop will use papers you have already created along with papers printed in class to assemble into a small book that can be used as a journal or enjoyed as is.  All tools and materials provided.
