A nationally acclaimed artist and instructor,Mark Christopher creates artwork that evokes emotion and inspires his students to do the same. For the past decade, his art has been admired and collected across the US and internationally while regularly being honored by his peers. Though formally trained in physics, his two greatest passions, creating and teaching, have informed and altered his life’s journey and have become his life’s work.

Of all the tools in an artist’s repertoire perhaps the simplest is the palette knife. But with this humble tool entire worlds can be created.Join Mark Christopher for a day-long exploration of the desert landscape with a focus on using the palette knife to create the lovely textures found in nature. Featuring demonstrations and sage advice the class will also be touching on composition, colors, values, and plenty more to consider while tackling such a varied subject matter. Students are invited to work in oil or acrylic paints and a suggested supply list will be provided for their preferred medium upon registration.
