Soft Pastel is an exciting, tactile medium that can give rich color experience seldom seen in other mediums. With a theme of creating pastel portrait images of animals, birds, or whatever critter you see as a worthy subject, you will enhance your ability to create fur, feathers, eyes with reflections, wet noses, and so on. All levels of proficiency are accepted in this course. It will be a fun, enriching and empowering.
The goal of this one-day workshop is to give courage and success to all participants, regardless of where they are with their painting experience. Learning about the properties of papers, pastel color mixing and layering will give students greater ability in all their pastel endeavors.
