Arizona Artists Guild 13th Annual Statewide Exhibition

 

This annual exhibition is a signature event for Arizona Artists Guild.  This exhibit is open to all residents of Arizona. Membership of AAG is not required for this exhibition.  The show will be on display at the Mood Room Phoenix and virtually at ArizonaArtistsGuild.net.  All exhibited art will be promoted heavily on Social Media.

Important Dates

Entries: May 13 – June 13, 2024
Notification to Artists: July 5
Intake: July 13, 10 – 2pm Other dates/times available by prior appointment.
Location: MOOD ROOM PHX, 3121 North 3rd Ave, Unit 100, Phoenix, AZ. 85013 (Park Central).
(There will also be a virtual exhibition at ArizonaArtistsGuild.net, and on social media.)
All artworks must be at the mood room by noon Saturday July 13, 2024
Hours: Wednesday – Friday, 11AM–4PM | subject to change/summer hours
Opening Awards Reception: July 18, 6 – 9pm
Closing First Friday Reception: August 2, 4 – 7pm
Pick up art: August 10, 10-noon. Other dates/times available by prior appointment.

Awards: A total of $1750 in prize money will be awarded!

  • Award of Excellence: $500

Requirements for Submission:

Requirements
1. The artist must be over the age of 18, and a current resident of the State of Arizona.
2. Submitted artwork must be original works of art in concept and design, made solely by the artist. Must have been created within the past 2 years.
3. All visual art media accepted.
4. Artwork must be submitted as digital JPEG images. Submit only one image per piece of artwork. However, up to 3 views of sculpture works may be submitted. Videos of kinetic sculpture must be submitted in .mov format.
5. Three-dimensional work is not to exceed 50 lbs. Artists requiring pedestals larger than 12″x12″, please indicate in your entry.
6. Two-dimensional work must not exceed 36-inches in width and 60-inches in height. Art must be adequately wired and ready to hang (no saw tooth hangers). The hanging wire must be placed no more than one quarter of the way from the top of the frame. Artwork with frames considered below minimal gallery standards will not be displayed. Mats must be neutral in color, clean and professional in presentation. Gallery wraps are acceptable provided they are at least 1-1/2 inches deep and are painted on all four sides.
7. Artwork must be priced and available for sale, if possible, and the price should include a 30% commission which goes to the mood room. AAG does not receive commissions from sales. Artwork not for sale should be labeled NFS.
8. All sales are handled by the exhibiting artists. Interested parties will be directed to the artist to finalize all sales. Sold art is not removed until the close of the exhibit.
9. Accepted artwork must be clearly labeled with artist’s name, title of artwork, medium, year of completion, dimensions, and price.
10. Complex installation pieces may require the artist to assist in installation.
11. All applicants may submit a brief bio or artist statement with their submission. 250  character maximum.

The artist retains copyright to the artwork; however, Arizona Artists Guild reserves the right to photograph and publish images of the artwork for the purposes of promotion for this exhibition and future exhibitions. Liabilities and Responsibilities: Arizona Artists Guild and the mood room will not be responsible for any loss or damage. Though every effort will be made to protect submitted artworks, I understand that Arizona Artist Guild, its volunteers, and any other parties under its direction, assume no responsibility or liability for loss or damage to artwork, framing or accessories while it is in transit and during the show. By submitting artwork to this Exhibit, I agree to relieve the above-mentioned parties from any and all liability to myself, my artwork and/or property.

The quality of the photograph reflects the quality of your work.
Be sure to crop all backgrounds.
Do not include the framing in the photograph.
