Vivian Newing Andersen
As far back as I can remember, I have known that I am an artist. In kindergarten, I modified the coloring pages and made them my own; much to the teacher’s dismay. I am still marching to my own drummer. I am a lifelong student and my work is always evolving.
Currently, I paint primarily in an abstract or impressionist style, using color and form to express a mood or thought. My constant curiosity leads me to explore many kinds of media and you will see this expressed in my work. But I always seem to come back to watercolor and acrylic paintings to tell my stories.
Some artists are about grand ideas and causes. I paint about the truth and love and beauty as they are seen in each of our lives. My art is intended to make you feel good. Smile for sure, maybe even laugh in delight.
