The bird portraits will be fun, with humor, individual interpretation, and expression.  We will explore characteristics of our bird subjects, background possibilities, and color.  It will be a quick exercise in sketching with color using a variety of drawing and painting materials.

Supplies: 

•    3 or more small canvases, 4’”x4”, 5”x5”.

•    Acrylic paint

•    Variety of small brushes, #2, #3, #4, and #5.  I use flats, but rounds are fine.

•    Palette, palette knife

•    Water containers, rags or paper towels

•    Pencils, or any drawing materials you wish to use.

•    Can bring items for texture or collage (optional)

•    Variety of bird images downloaded to your phone, or printed images of birds

•    I apply black gesso to my small canvases, but that is not necessary.
