Mano-a-Mano:
Monoprinting with Stencils and Textures
with Joe Ray

Saturday, April 18th
10 am to 2 pm
$50 Members/$60 Non Members

This monoprint printmaking class focuses on creating imagery through stencils and texture, which are built, inked, and transferred onto paper. Participants will work both by hand and with a small press accommodating paper sizes up to 8” × 10”, using brayers (hand rollers) and found tools to apply ink and build layered surfaces.

The process encourages experimentation using personal imagery, with guidance provided for developing stencil designs and exploring color, texture, and pattern. Prior printmaking experience is not required, only an open mind and a willingness to explore. Techniques for continuing and refining work beyond the workshop will also be discussed.
