“LAYERS”

Create depth in your Abstract paintings

Enjoy the process of using a variety of layers in your artwork. We will examine the aspects of
producing exciting abstract artwork. Each artist will be inspired to create their own personal
statement. We will create various textures using an assortment of materials. Each artist will
then be inspired to create their own personal statement. Visual inspirations, demonstrations,
handouts and personal guidance will lead you through this procedure. At the end of the
workshop we will analyze each piece to give suggestions as to where to go from there, provide
insight into creativity and encourage each artist’s individual style.
Be the artist…. Allow your imagination to flow!

“Texture, line and color play an important role in my artwork. I enjoy working on a variety of surfaces with water media materials. My artwork is on the abstract side with recognizable subjects created with imagination and structure. I select one subject to use in a series of paintings. With exploration and development, the painting comes alive.”
