Intuitive Collage with Tess Mosko Scherer and Kristel Nielsen with special guest artist Cecily Fazekas
Join us for a creative journey into the world of collage art with special guest artist Cecily Fazekas. In this immersive workshop, participants will explore the captivating interplay between planning and intuition while crafting expressive collages on mat board or paper masks.
Feel free to bring your personal images to infuse your unique story into the artwork, though an abundance of inspiring materials will be readily available. There is a balance between planning and intuition that occurs when making a collage. Participants will select images and cut or tear them to form a pleasing composition. Generally, once the collage is complete, a new (often unexpected) story emerges. The process is both planned and intuitive
As a distinctive feature, the workshop offers the option to work on provided masks, elevating the artistic possibilities. Beyond the collage itself, participants can further enhance their creations with paints, pastels, markers, and other embellishments, transforming the final piece into a truly personalized work of art.
Under Cecily Fazekas’ expert guidance, participants will not only explore the technical aspects of collage but also delve into the joy of embracing unpredictability. The class encourages the use of optional materials such as markers, watercolors, and even needle and thread, allowing for a broad spectrum of creative expression.
Whether you’re a seasoned artist or a novice, join us for a day of artistic exploration and discovery. Collage is not just an art form; it’s an adventure that promises fun and yields consistently unexpected and delightful results. We look forward to sharing this enriching experience with you.
