Visual inspiration can be from forms in nature such as trees reflecting in water or silhouetted against the sky. A deformed tree can turn into a subhuman character. Rocks may look like faces. The oddity suggest something other than it is.

I use a variety of media in my artwork, including acrylic paint, alcohol ink, India ink, black gesso, colored pencil, textured paper and occasionally things that I find on the road. My favorite subjects are trees, water, weird faces and footprints.
