Sedona Arts Center invites you to be one of the master artists painting in the Shangri-La of the Southwest! Sedona is a sublime and stunningly beautiful environment steeped in art history. Sedona Arts Center dates back 65 years to the founding of Sedona’s identity as an ‘art colony.’ Our community’s iconic and wonderfully creative event—Sedona Plein Air Festival—is a week-long celebration of extraordinary landscapes, world-renowned artists, unique workshops, and wonderful free events from October 20 through 28, 2023!

ENTRY PROCESS

The deadline for entries to the 2023 Sedona Plein Air Festival is March 25, 2023. Selected artists will be notified by email no later than April 8th.  Artists must accept the invitation no later than April 14, 2023.

Fees: There is a $30 non-refundable entry fee per application. Should an artist be selected, the $30 fee will be applied against the $150 fee that is required for each participating artist. 

Image Format:  Each artist must submit a minimum of five (5) professional-quality images of their plein air artwork in JPEG format with a minimum resolution of 300 DPI. Images should include the title of the piece in the file name. In addition, please list the title, dimensions, medium and price of your pieces on the Entry Form. Note:  By entering this show the artist consents to promotional use of their accepted artwork.

Entering Your Images:   List sizes up to the nearest inch.  Submitted images must not include matting or frame.  Crop the photos to include only the artwork.  Be sure your images are right-side-up. 

The event is open to all artists 18 years and older with plein air experience. Please include relevant plein air experience in the résumé that is submitted with your application.

Rips has an art event every third Thursday! It is Free! All artists, vendors, collectors and crafters are welcome! Each month we pick a new artists to feature on our main wall, again free of charge! No fees, no commissions! The event is from 6-9.
Bring your own table if you have one. Get there early for a good spot! Every featured artists has done very well with sales. Let’s pack the house with art!! — at Rips Bar.3045 N 16th St, Phoenix, AZ 85016

THE SHOW
This 49th annual celebration of western art is a highly-publicized outdoor art show held over Memorial Day weekend (May 27, 28 & 29, 2023) in beautiful downtown Prescott, Arizona. Please note there are rules and regulations pertaining to the use of the Yavapai County Courthouse Plaza that are
NOT rules of the PHIPPEN MUSEUM. These rules must be complied with during the show and will be provided in the artist acceptance packet sent to you once your artwork has been juried and accepted. The PHIPPEN MUSEUM will promote the Art Show extensively in national advertisements, newspaper articles, internet & radio.

ELIGIBILITY
The show is open to all artists submitting work featuring Art of the American West in the following seven media categories:
Acrylic, Drawing, Mixed Media, Oil, Pastel, Sculpture, Watercolor and Photography.
